We are pleased to be informing you of another exciting learning adventure at PGS that started this fall. In the past we have applied for jobs, worked, earned money and spent it on coupons and our end-of-the-year auction. This year our plan is to extend this to include more economics. We are so excited about this as our learners will be able to engage in authentic, hands-on experiences while gaining knowledge. They will be able to see how an actual economy works from its successes and failures. More specifically, they will gain insight into:

We found two praying mantises - one dead, one alive. We observed both and talked about bug bodies and life cycle.
At Prairie Green we have a snacking garden where we grow foods we like to snack on. In these pictures, we harvested our kale and made kale chips in the kitchen! Paula's brother, Scott Boback, came to visit us this week at Prairie Green. Scott is a herpetologist and professor at Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA. |
